You bring your own USB stick (8GB min) and PCsavant can flash your choice of the latest copy of Linux Live.
You bring laptop/computer and PCsavant will remove Windows and install Linux. Typically done overnight for next day pickup. *

Backup files (client provides the USB/Drive), Install Linux *, Configure the system and software to client’s preferences (this may require more than one visit).

Note: Prices listed above are flat rate per job, not per visit.
* HDD/SSD must not be encrypted (ex: Bit Locker enabled), to save money, please remove encryption before Linux installation. There is an extra $60 fee for any dual boot setups. ALWAYS have your data backed-up before performing any major software/OS install to your system.

Highly Recommended: Save (backup) your files on an external drive before installing Linux on your own or before the laptop/computer is serviced by PCsavant or serviced by any other technician. If you want PCsavant to transfer your files to an external drive (customer supplies the drive), you must be present during the file selection process, pricing is $60/hour. Please use reliable external media for your back-ups, don’t use cheap USB sticks (pen drives) as back-up media. – PCsavant will not be responsible for lost data.
Fees & Taxes
There is a 2.5% processing fee for payments using a Credit Card, additional 1.5% fee if the card is issued outside of Canada. Payments using a Debit Card is only 0.75% processing fee and no fees for cash or e-transfer payments. Processing fees are non-refundable. We are required to charge 13% HST (784431975RT0001) on all transactions including cash or e-transfer payments.
