PCsavant is a crusader against technological waste. A firm believer in the three Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), with a focus on the second R (Reuse).
PCsavant prevents computers deemed obsolete for MS Windows going to e-waste by optimizing, upgrading, or providing an alternative to MS Windows .
PCsavant’s knowledge is based on over 35 years of computer experience from the very old Commodore Pet computer to the modern office computer. I have dabbled in various fields such as data entry, programming, desktop publishing, video editing, multimedia, business applications, and system administration. Also, have experience on the hardware side as I also have been in the computer repair/refurbishing business, network installations, and a system builder.
This site is also about sharing PC knowledge that could be helpful to people that range from the beginner to the proficient.
Often PCsavant is asked the same/similar questions over and over, and now placing the answers in the blog posts and/or the forums installed here on this site. Also, there are many links (mostly YouTube videos) to content by others related to the topic at hand (limited space here on this site).
PCsavant will leave comments open on posts so long as they remain relevant and civil. PCsavant is open to constructive criticism (the key word is constructive). You will have to register and login to take part in the comments or the forums. This requirement is purely for site administration and moderation purposes.
Disclaimer: What PCsavant offers here on this site forums/posts is knowledge, recommendations, and opinions based on PCsavant’s many years of (old school) experience and know how. Also, information posted by other people on this website is information they have provided and PCsavant take no responsibility for what others post. When it comes to important matters with your PC; don’t rely solely on what is posted on a single website, check other reputable sources.
