Just before the New Year, PCsavant has added Forums to the site.
With forums you can create PC topics that you need answers to or a PC topic that you wish to share your experience with. Of course, you have to register before being able to do any of those things. However, you don’t need to register or log in if all you are doing is reading the forums/topics. But participation is encouraged.
Registering as a user on this site is simple and the user email will only be used for administration purposes unless the user opts in to other features/services (ex: a mailing list). Then the email will also be used for the provision of that feature or service to the user as well.
This is very new for this site; so if there are any technical issues with the site forums or any forum post, please report it to PCsavant website admin.
If everyone uses common sense and proper etiquette or behaviour that you would expect in any other public place (real or virtual), then there should be no issues with the content.
If there is an issue with a post (content) that’s not due to a technical issue, also, please, report them to the website admin. I would like to keep this site a friendly and useful place for everyone.
At this time (of post publishing), there are five forums:
- Environmental
- Anything about technology and the environment.
- FOSS
- Anything about Free Open Source Software.
- General
- Any topics that don’t have their own categories (yet).
- Linux
- Anything about Linux.
- Windows
- Anything about Microsoft Windows.
I know that there may be topics that may be relevant to more than one forum, however, try to choose the forum that the topic is most relevant to.
Again, as always, PCsavant welcomes any suggestion or comments through the contact form that may help improve on this website.
